Obituary for Kevin Allan Hewko
KEVIN ALLAN HEWKO
SEPTEMBER 11, 1988 – SEPTEMBER 12, 2023
We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden death of Kevin Allan Hewko, age 35 yrs, of Abbotsford B.C. Kevin was tragically hit by a car late at night, and died of his injuries.
He is survived by his mother Monica Pushard and his stepfather Gary of Maine, U.S.A., his brothers Dan of Alberta, Canada and Sean of South Carolina, U.S.A. He leaves behind his daughter Ayla, age 4, of Abbotsford. Also left to mourn his loss are his grandparents, Aunt, Uncles, cousins, niece and nephews, and his many friends in the recovery community that became like a second family to Kevin. Kevin was predeceased by his father Allen Hewko and his grandmother Christine Carter.
We will remember Kevin’s big heart and silly sense of humor. Kevin was born with a sense of adventure and zest for life. He could be spunky and impulsive as well as introspective and thoughtful. He spent many years caring for his father in his illness, with whom he had a special bond. We can’t summarize Kevin’s life without mentioning his appetite for good food! Think of him when you enjoy a good meal.
Kevin has been cremated, and a celebration of life has been held in both Abbotsford and Alberta, where Kevin was from. If you would like to pay tribute to Kevin, please consider doing a kindness for somebody in need. Feed someone who’s hungry, in Kevin’s honor.
