Obituary for Pobhinder Mann

Pobhinder “Pob” Mann, aged 48, passed away at home on April 1st, 2020. A loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Pob’s friendly nature and humour touched all of our lives. Pob is survived by his mother Gurbkhesh, children Naveen and Prachetas, friend and co-parent Barbra, and partner Andrea. Pob is also survived by his sisters Sukh (Steve), Belvinder (Ronak), Parm (Réjean) and Sarbjit (Opkar) and brothers Satnam (Rani), Nick (Nicole (Kulvir)), and Shinda (Ladi) and many loving nieces and nephews. Pob is predeceased by his father Shangara.

Naveen and Prachetas were the center of Pob’s life; his pride, joy and love. They have many treasured memories of time together with their Dad. Pob was full of life and love. Entertaining, cooking, music, travelling and sports were some of Pob’s passions. He often cooked or hosted barbecues for family and friends, bringing everyone together.

Pob touched the lives of many; anyone who met him felt his undeniable charisma and inclusivity. Pob will always be remembered as a balance of caring and playfulness. Friends and family can share how he taught them something, looked after them, or simply added humour and joy to their lives. He was an explorer and enjoyed learning what the world had to offer. Road trips to camp with family, a trip to Mexico or India with loved ones were journeys he loved to take. He also shared his passion for music with those around him and loved to introduce others to new music.

A private funeral for Pob’s close friends and family will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, May 3rd, at the Fraser River Funeral Home in Abbotsford. A livestream of the service can be viewed at:
