Obituary for Prithpal Singh Dhillon

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother, Prith Paul Singh Dhillon, lovingly known as “Kuku” on Tuesday, November 24th, 2020. Prith was born in Pind Dhilwan, Punjab, India on March 30th, 1964 and passed peacefully in his sleep, at age 56 years, in Vancouver, BC. He was predeceased by his parents, Ajit Singh Dhillon and Harsimran Kaur Dhillon, of Abbotsford, B.C. Prith will forever be remembered by his son, Dustin Reimer, brother Avin Dhillon, sister Sukhi (Gurmeet) Reehal, nephews Justin, Kory (Deepi), Dylan and his extended family near and far.

Prith and his family arrived in Canada in 1974. In the early days, he lived in North Bend, B.C. then relocated to Abbotsford, B.C. in 1976, where he attended Bakerview Elementary, Abbostford Junior, and Abbotsford Senior Schools. Since 2005, Prith was residing in Vancouver, B.C. until his passing.

Professionally, Prith will be remembered for his strong work ethic and skillset. In his personal life, a gentle and loving soul lay beneath his hard exterior. He had a carefree spirit and outlook on life, bringing laughter to those around him and never taking life too seriously. Selfless to a fault, Prith never hesitated to help those in need. He was passionate about music and bhangra, which followed him through every pathway. Prith lived life on his own terms and danced to the beat of his own drum.

The family takes solace in knowing Prith fulfilled his dream of revisiting his birthplace, after 45 years in 2019. The memories will live on forever.

"Enjoy life today, because yesterday is gone and tomorrow is never promised."
