Condolence From: Heather Brumpton
Condolence: My apologies for not being able to attend the service due to a family commitment.
I was lucky enough to work with Harjeet at Howe Middle for several years.

Harj had such an amazing passion for teaching, and was always such a strong advocate for her students, even those who were no longer in her classes.

To her coworkers, she was always the first to offer support or help, either with teaching support, a funny story, or asking how she could help. Her laughter and smile were always there to brighten someone's day.

Regardless as to how much she loved her job, her devotion to her kids and husband were always apparent. Her girls were so important to her, and it was clear that her family was her number one priority.

Harjeet will be missed. My condolences to her friends and family.

Condolence: I did not know Harj all that well. However, I subbed at her school, and in fact in her classroom on a couple of occasions. She was possibly the most organized teacher I have ever subbed for. But more than that, she was kind. Whenever I was subbing at her school she would always greet me with a warm smile and ask if there was anything she could do for me. She always made me feel welcome. I am grateful for knowing her.
Sincerely,
Bruce Dugdale

Condolence: I am unable to make the service due to a pervious commitment which is unfortunate.

Harjeet was a spirited and talented teacher who always did what was best for her students. She was extremely organized, involved, and someone any Principal would love to have on their staff. She had a huge heart and really had a “knack” for helping those students who were at-risk. She always advocated for her students and made darn sure everything was in place to ensure their success. When it came to spirit, you never knew the costume that was coming up next…..life size salt and pepper shaker or being dressed in a full size Tweety Bird Mascot costume….She coached, she organized Vaisakhi and Diwali assemblies, she was a leader on staff in more ways than one…….she did whatever was necessary. As a wife and mother, she showed the same dedication and commitment and in many conversations with her, it was obvious, she took this role just as seriously and showed the same amount of dedication, love, and care.

Harjeet was a huge part of overall students success in the Abbotsford school district and anyone who had the opportunity to work with her should consider themselves very fortunate.
